Sealskinz Socks.

Recommended Posts

Keep your eyes on ebay king. I got brand new pair of green knee high ( turned over) sealskinz country socks rrp £45 for £6 marino wool and gortex lined. I wouldn't be without them got 3 pairs of different types and would say the above are best. You can buy army surplus for around £14- £18.

Heres the ones I got mate http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sealskinz-Country-Waterproof-Knee-Socks/dp/B00O8U0JK4/ref=pd_sim_sbs_200_3/278-7309289-1259029?ie=UTF8&dpID=41lrKsX4dyL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR82%2C160_&refRID=1WCQQCPA6ZS6D4GKYAQD

They are even made for footballers, referees etc. They advertise that they stop blisters to. If your gonna get a pair try get the merino wool/Gortex lined ones.

Shite compared to merino or other good wool, good under waders tho. If you need seal skin socks I suggest you get new boots Instead

It won't matter if my boots are the dearest out there.10 mins into a nights lamping I could get a boot full of water and have to walk for hours with a cold wet foot.these socks would eliminate that problem katchum.

I don't like the wool socks make my feet sweat and ultimately smell a bit.

Wear gators or wellies then King, trust me if these sealskins was so good then we would all be out lamping in comfy slippers and sealskins lol when I was training recruits in army I used to let them all go to John Bull and buy there own kit, they all bought em, I must admit I have aswell, but after a few times not many keep wearing them, if your feet sweat and stink in wool what do you think non breathable sealskin socks will do lol buy em if you get em cheap but don't pay silly money pal

Ah right I thought they were breathable. If you've got a bit of army knowledge katchum.

What are the army lads wearing in wet jungles for weeks on end. Just normal socks or is there a better sock out there than sealskins. I'm not a wellies fan to be honest. But have wore gators before and they were great.

I dunno what kind of wellies you've worn in the past but there's a world of difference between cheap and good quality wellies. Mine grip well, are as comfy as slippers and keep my feet warm and when it's freezing outside.

Wellies are no good to me mate. I'm surrounded by rough ground.and wellies offer hardly any ankle support.
