That makes sense about the nets tomo.do you find the hobs work a full day the same as jills energy wise.and is there much difference in the working speed between the 2.

And do you find you dig more to a hob than a jill.

I only ever worked jills.so didnt compare the 2 in the field.

Yeh it's fiar to say your going to dig more to a degree.....

The hobs speed I think is an individual thing same as Jill's you get quick ones and slow uns,,,,one of vins,,called chuckles cos of his continuous chorteling,,,is a quick thing ,,,and his son who I have doesn't hang around

That is a real useful attribute in a rabbit hunting dog :clapper:

It would be a right pain, working in the woods and brash,.. without a reliable marker..

Did that surprise you Tomo? I've got in my head that I need a fair dose of non running dog blood in a lurcher for it to hunt and mark well, though that doesn't appear to be the case. My bitch that I run now is coming up to eight years old and basically looks like a well built merle whippet. She catches rabbits that my old half cross kelpie bitch would not have got near, but she doesn't mark as well. I need a fast dog that hunts and marks like a half cross!
