villaman 9,983
My ultra is up there with my HW100k , both spot on guns , in fact my ultra has cost me more than my Hw100k and that is why the HW100 in any format is such a good buy Quote Link to post
hoggysreels 76
My BSA Ultra Se in total with all accesories etc, plus the Airtech modifications, set me back £650. Villaman did you get the carbon shroud with built in moderator and an alloy air stripper? Quote Link to post

hoggysreels 76
Yep, l'd be a liar if l said l hadn't thought "is it worth it ?" .. though as my mate said after it arrived back and he had a go of it .. you have got yourself one special, deadly accurate piece of kit. Plus l mainly shoot with nightvision. The whole package still weighs in as a lightweight. "When the time comes to move it on l wouldn't have a clue what to ask as a fair price to both parties" .. l probably would consider a Weihrauch 100 kt as my next rifle. Though l would wonder if l would be happy with the shot count and would it be "more consistently accurate" as the Airtech Ultra. These niggles tell me to keep hold of the Ultra. Have you tried Weihrauch HT pellets through your Ultra since its been modified? .. l was wondering whether to get hold of some and see how they perform. Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
Weihrauch pellets are H&N ftt apparently Quote Link to post
steg 609
H&N make them specially for weihrauch but with a larger head size. Weihrauch f&t special 4.51 H&N ftt 4.50 Got a tin of each sat here.. exact same pellet.. just a different head size. Quote Link to post
andykllhr 91
My Regal went to Carl at AirTech, it came back a very different beast. It's now an astoundingly accurate and consistent bit of kit, well worth it Quote Link to post
hoggysreels 76
My mate dropped two of his BSA's off today at Carl's .. one of his rifles has been blueprinted by JB. He was very impressed with an Airtech modified BSA, to the extent his JB rifle will be modified .. speaks volumes imho Quote Link to post
airtech 39
if your after the very best from a ultra honestly chuck the bsa barrel in the skip. the barrel quality has gone down hill over the years. they are so rough in the bore its untrue the current barrels are nothing like the older S10 barrels. my top tune on a R10 and ultra I do not use the bsa barrel. I would put one of the top tuned rifles up against any ft rifle. another thing that lets the ultra and R10 down is the trigger its a false 2 stage trigger. I would take my own personal ultra to a club event and let anyone take it around the course to try I'm very sure it would open a few peoples eyes who shoot far more expensive rifles. the only thing bsa on my own ultra is the breech that has bsa on all the rest isn't bsa 1 Quote Link to post
