Best Rat Bait!

hi all

 

just wondered what baits you use and which ones you think that work best?

 

i have been useing honey and bread which isnt too bad but would like to try other baits

that work well or better.....

Snicker Bar. It's all there, chocolate, peanuts, sugar/caramel. Everything ratty loves and easier to handle than honey!

Spread on a brick, stops the buggers running off with it!

Cat food , dog food , tuna ,mackeral , choclate spread, pea nut butter my favs. paste onto bread peg it down with small stick or spread it on a slab etc

Peanut butter,chocolate mixed with cooking oil fish anything strong smelling realy mate all works.

Almost anything, look at the environment you are finding them and what they are eating there, that's always worth a try.

Baiting with snickers would be very expensive unless you only put a few down once in a while.

Does anyone use halibut pellets as used in fishing for rat bait? I would have thought that with their oiliness and protein content they would prove to be irresistible.
