Air Arms Pro Sport Value?

Recommended Posts

Ey up folks. Thinking of selling me prosport to fund a new break barrel. Not sure what to put it up for though? It's a 2010 model, beech right hand stock, .177 cal, fitted with venom piston, top hat, spring and guide, and still have the original piston, top hat and guide (all metal). The action is in great condition, as is the stock. Comes with a flambeau hard case.

Cheers

As much as someone is prepared to pay my old. Everyone generally likes PS models, so you should have no issues flog in it. I suppose you want just the amount for your new HW. Assuming yr going the imp route, you should easily get 300 for it.

Thanks gents, was thinking home brewed 99 in .22....

I'm not 100% about selling it yet if I'm being honest. It would be great to keep her and buy the 99, but it's not been a great start to the year cash wise.

I'd love to get a tbt kit and a custom seal fitted on a new .99, obvs after a big ol' polish. And screw cut and shortened barrel with silencer.

I'm like this man. Another 99 but do it myself, cut muzzle, HW mod, v-Mach, all the usual. But can't bring myself to stop using me 97. I hate having two springers in the same calibre. Before I go out, I spend more time thinking about which to take, ones heavy, ones light etc. It would do my head in.

Too true mate, that's where I'm stuck. I'm addicted to the prosports consistentcy. I know how she shoots, her firing cycle, I can feel when I've pulled a shot before the pellet hit's the target.

The only thing that gets on my nerves is the cocking lever, it's so far back towards the butt that when the lever is fully open is horribly unbalanced, and I hate swapping hands and would rather keep my hand on the lever at all times- literally any other underlever/break barrel would be much easier to cock and load especially standing. Thank fully it doesn't have the annoying bear trap button thing that the tx does...

Yep, the T Rex bear trap. :cray:

I just keep it pressed in on cocking and closing, becomes almost silent you know but when you aim her and squeeze off that shot -

" She never, ever, misses" - only i do that :icon_redface:

Pro Sport are a great gun Jonnie, keep hold of her if you can.

I'd have to go cap in hand and borrow most of it!

And my two pence worth is the same as marks, keep it if possible, save for the new one and do the work as and when?

Well she won't be up for sale for atleast another week. Shot her off solid wooden benchrest tonight, no soft rubber etc to cushion the recoil, hand underneath the rosewood cap, levelled my benchrest pb at 98+2 (est) so you know she would be dead on with a monopod/bipod sticks. Can't really winge about cocking really can I after that sort of performance.

Vortek seal all the way mate if you do a home brew, it makes a vast difference, and make sure you get all the swarf out, new they are usually full of it.
