Planned a mooch around one of me local permissions this afternoon, just down the road, it was waaayyyy to windy but went anyway. Bagged a trio of birds but could find the last one. Shame. Missed far to many too. Took my 97, not been out with it for sometime, on the game anyways. God I love her

 

Also found a few photos of the perm I took at the start of winter, similar to that of the Digby permission. Its nice when the weathers better.

 

The makeshift seat and hide Had to reinforce it though through the day, blown to bits.

 

 

The over watch, some ivy full trees, normally full of birds on windy days.

 

 

The two birds, could get to another. Bugger.

 

 

The start of winter, sun setting. Just arrived.

 

 

Overlooking a old stone wall... Near the ivy tree shown above.

 

 

Just behind the stone wall is an old veggie garden. Normally a good spot for the rabbits in the summer.

 

 

Down the side of the house theres a prime rabbit warren. Loads of opportunities in the summer again. Nothing in winter.

 

 

On this side the permission runs down to the fields in the distance.

 

 

Front of house, again, rabbit mad in the warmer weather.

Wooded track that runs around the back of the house.

 

 

The track I always walk down within the wood.

 

 

Its normally ok for the bird or two. Squirrels where around a few months ago.

 

 

The manor house drive... I walk back on myself to go over to the other side.

 

 

Over the road too...

 

 

Down the other side of the permission. Dont see much around this bit mind.

 

 

New field Ive not shot in a while, should be ideal for rabbits but the grass grows 6ft in the summer so no chance. The think dense wood runs down the right hand side where I shoot the roosters.

Yep. For f**k sake the old gal still thinks I go to attend to the sheep... "NO" I say, "Im James, I shoot here...." Next time, "...the sheep are doing well"

It's wank here mate. Just too windy. Got back about an hour ago, went to another place but the gusts made shooting hardly worth it. With Lincolnshire being so flat the wind takes off like a stabbed rat. I swear though I hit 3 birds mind and the sods flew off.
