Bird Boxes

Not sure if this is the right section,i want to put up a few bird boxes around the garden , "i know this aint gona end well but here goes " but whats the best hole size for tits ? and any designs work better than others for other song birds ? could be a bit late for this year but worth a try

cm gona chuck a few various up around the cottage ,now the garage is done thought of trying some on the back of the breeding pens ,we get martins and swallows about and thought about trying to encourage them under the roof over the patio and stick shed as well ,plenty of bits and pieces coming into the garden now so time to help them a bit if i can

i put some up around the allotment had blue tits. In the open fronted ones had robins Was a good feeling watching them build and going in feeding the chicks

Had Robins nest in a holed nest box in my garden last Summer, saw 5 chicks hopping around in the hedges for a couple of days, I've not had Robins in a holed nestbox before.
