Cz527 .17Hornet

My CZ527 .17Hornet.

 

After some consideration I've replaced my HMR with the .17Hornet.

 

My first CZ, only negative point is the bolt action, it feels a little clumsy compared to Anschutz / tikka / sak, but I'm hoping after a few hundred rounds it settles in.

 

Very happy with the factory stock and accuracy.

You won't be disappointed mate, I'm still shocked how quiet it is, id be confident enough to say it's not as loud as my HMR, I find myself smiling each time I go out with it haha

CZ bolts can be a bit stiff when new, but they soon loosen up.

 

Hopefully mate, it's not as much stiff, it's just not very smooth and feels a little awkward, I went for a quick 2nd shot last week and found myself fumbling about with bolt

How's the accuracy, you using factory ammo or reloading?

I'm using factory at the minute but I've started saving for all reloading equipment mate.

 

But to be honest it's the most accurate round I've shot even with factory rounds, but not many RFD's stock which is why I'm leaning towards hone loading.

Obviously minimal recoil, if none existent at all, so it should be manageable. What kind of accuracy are you managing?

I use a 1" black dot at range and all groups we're within the dot, if I'm honest I don't measure below 1", if I'm within 1" I'm happy

 

First 50 rounds we're a little erratic but I was cleaning barrel after each shot when running barrel in which I expected
