samurai 178
Hi mate I have a black cocker trained to the gun but I just use him for bushing now for the runners he will mark very well and will go through any cover without hesitation. Forgot to say in the north east Edited February 6, 2016 by samurai Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
Is it a bushing dog you're trying to produce? Or an all purpose mutt? Ratting, rabbiting, bushing etc? Atb Gaz is there any difference then?using the word busher almost comes across as a one trick pony type where in reality a decent busher is more than capable of as you say being all purpose,a good one will take readily to working with the ferrets,as well as bushing rabbits and taking rats and have enough spirit to shift larger stuff that may be reluctant to bolt ,just asking not sure what you mean exactly mate cheers You missed my point squab. I thought he was trying to breed a bushing dog (specifically a bushing dog), from a dog that doesn't bush very well. Quote Link to post
squab 2,875
yep, right over my head lol Quote Link to post
lifelong cumbrian 1,826
Is that the little black terrier you got off my mate stretch, some good dogs in that little bitch. Good luck with the breeding, if i wanted a dog for cover they would be ideal i think, i quite a fancy a cocker one day for a ferreting dog. Quote Link to post
