Lee, I've read a lot of your posts and don't make the age old problem of getting over dogged with other peoples sh*t, you're better off with 1 good terrier that is doing it then half a dozen jackers and half do'ers, get some experience under your belt for a few years , no rush just enjoy what you do now, Plucky

Thanks plucky1 but I work in a team with a more experienced guy and as the post says there will be room in our team for a decant Russell pup as we could do with a good bay type this would take us up to 4 dogs not an excessive amount edited to add I think I've found what I'm looking for and by no means are the dam and sire jackers or half doers and have been invited to see both work

I hear what you're saying Lee but even in a team you will always come to favour one, only takes one to work an earth and unless you get out everyday frustration amongst the others can cause dog fights and miss placed aggression,if your terriers are hard and are getting knocked up on every dig then I understand the need for more than one, if you run them free working cover then you don't want lots of earth type dogs as they will follow if run to ground, giving you the nightmare of multiple terriers in an earth, I am just pointing out the obvious and good luck with your new pup as the percentages say a pup off 2 workers should work, Plucky

Hi Lee, you need to look to the future and think about what your going to be doing in ten twenty years time, a hotch potch of terriers might get you some sport for a few years but then what, back to scouring the country looking for more. If I was you id be looking for a good foundation bitch from good stock to get started with, put my time into that and if she was good enough go back to breeder for advice on what to put on her, honestly time passes so quickly and its to easy to waste years on terriers and get no where, not having a go mate just my thoughts on terriers.

I have a well bred bitch pup from a good line that I hope makes the grade when she is older and if she does the breeder has the perfect dog to put over her this is all in hand
