NEWKID 27,716
Well that was a good fun morning, Went out with Joe777 and his terrier/spaniel x, my terrier and my 2 runners, 2 and half hours of walking in the sun, bolted half a dozen or so rabbits with a couple of really good runs for the pup, and had 2 with mixi (first I've seen on this permission ever!). The terrier yapping through the cover on the ass of one with the runners bouncing about waiting for a bolt is as good as it gets IMO Edited February 7, 2016 by NEWKID 6 Quote Link to post

NEWKID 27,716
Cracking fun, best bit of sport my little dog's had on rabbits, I love it when it gets a bit frantic and all the dogs start firing on all cylinders, great experience for my youngster following the seasoned yapper in on bunnies. Cheers mate. No problem at all mate, great morning. As I said I really like that little dog of yours, think you'll have a lot of fun with him in the next few years. 1 Quote Link to post

leethedog 3,071
I think a good nose and wanting to use it with out that you are not going to find a lot if the dog is just scanning the horizon. Mine is constantly winding hedges and testing the air. Last night by the main road just on a stroll he marked some cover I couldn't do nothing about it with a dog but in the future I have a plan that involves a little stop net or two But he is on the case 24/7 and finds stuff every where also calmness and just knowing what to do with out being asked so you can relax Must be a good dog to catch on the lead for me a good mooching lurcher should always be loose but under control Quote Link to post
