1St Outing With The Hw100T

Recommended Posts

Well, after putting a good 700 jsb exact through her and finding point of aim out to 60yrds with a zero at 25yrds we had a break in the shocking windy weather today so off I went to my most rabbity permission.

I arrived just after 15.30 and by 15.50 had brought my 1st woody of 2016 down from a bloody HUGE conifer! Well happy!!!

After that I dug myself in for a while near a fairly productive spot at a little over 35yrds away.

I didn't have to wait too long before coney number 1 fell to a high speed lead missile! Then number 2 and 3 from the same spot.

Feeling well pleased with the hw's maiden voyage I decided to get back to the van and head home.

I retrieved the last rabbit and spotted another at what seemed like a good 50 yards off so I sat down, arm wrapped round raised knee and decided that 2 mill dots hold over was necessary. At worse, it would fly over its head without injuring said rabbit....and it did just that. I actually saw the impact point on the fence behind it and as it didn't bolt into the field I got chance to go again with 1 1/2 mill dot holdover and whollop. ..over it went.

To say I am pleased with the guns performance is a MASSIVE understatement and hopefully the weather will stay calm for another hunt tomorrow!

Here's a pic of tonight's quarry and thank you for reading ?post-94518-0-40840900-1454533284_thumb.jpg

Hmmmmmm I could of sworn I read a post the other day somewhere, and I am sure it said you were getting one in erm oh yes .177 its the way forward bud.

Just allowing 50 ft/ sec difference which will equate to 1 yard difference p.o.i. at 38.3 yards with a force three tail wind (prevailing mind ) and a fresh rainbow on show.
