TOM HEAVY 140
gaz_1989, what made you specifically interested in the plummer for bushing?? or was it a case of buying a dog regardless of breed as long as it was working some sort of cover?? not knocking anything just genuinely interested in your choice of cover dog as i am looking at getting 1 or 2 in the future myself ATB Tom Heavy Quote Link to post
TOM HEAVY 140
i just read your other post so guess that answers my question... ATB with the new squad member mate, looks like shes done you proud already, and what a bonny looking mutt!! ATB TOM HEAVY Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
Cheers for the comments Tom. As you've probably read mate she just cropped up. Never had my heart set on a particular breed or cross. Fancied terrier X spaniel. But she needed a good home, and I needed a little dog with potential and she's got bags of that. If she makes the grade I will probably put a small spaniel or another handy little busher over her in a few years and keep a couple back. 2 Quote Link to post

oz0707 65
Do you lads prefer your bushers to be vocal when on mine is silent all the time Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
Cheers Beam ?? Lol at Ross. I'm going to put her away for a few months now, wait till it's really warm, work her April to September and then pack her away again for winter. Same as the lurchers ? Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
Oz this bitch is silent. I think a vocal busher would be better for working with lurchers? But then there's a time and a place for a dog being vocal and I aren't always in the right place. Lol Quote Link to post
Guest Navek
Bitch very clean and foxy very dirty there. Glad your sorted tho, perfect for summer! think I'd be dirty if I was shot with a 12 gauge shotgun whilst running rolled over then retrieved Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
Didn't realise you were a Plummer man fireman. In response to your post on my other thread, she was bred by a fella called Philip Kettle who I believe has a lot to do with the EPTS, she's bred from Sherwood Norman and O/C Legion Amber. If that means anything to you? All the best. 1 Quote Link to post

Had my plummer bitch for 9 years and she's still out doing her thing,in fact she's out for a days ratting in cover crops tomorrow and will be checking holes on sunday if she isn't to sore to do so ,Phil's a grand chap and you shouldn't go far wrong with a dog bred from him and again i wish you all the luck but i'm sure your have some fun with your plummer mate and no luck is needed ... I got my bitch when she was about eight months old and she did not start yapping till she made her first catch. atb fella. 1 Quote Link to post
