dogmad riley 1,347
Prince naseem love him or hate he was an exceptional boxer who entertained. He faught a better fighter with Barrera but he is also one of the all time greats. Naseems downfall was leaving brenden ingle imo Edited February 7, 2016 by dogmad riley
shepp 2,285
If he was around now he wouldn't drum up half the support or interest that he did back then, things have moved along somewhat with his sort.
MIK 4,763
As I already said regarding Naz post 9/11 ....it doesn't matter how much a boxing fan you are all that Islamic stuff just wouldn't wash now a days Edited February 8, 2016 by MIK

As soon as people hear allah akba these days, the main thoughts are, some muslim blowing himself up or beheading some innocent aid worker. The only reason British people would watch somebody like him now, would be in the hope he would get ironed out, back then it was just half of us hoping for it lol.
The Seeker 3,048
He might have been a good boxer but he's not a very nice person. The crash he had on Ringinglow Rd nearly killing that couple was outrageous, not only did he and his mate do one and run off, when finally arrested he tried to get his mate to say he was driving. Another one banging on about being Muslim without the morals to back it up. http://www.thestar.co.uk/what-s-on/out-and-about/boxer-naz-is-arrested-after-three-car-crash-1-213315 Saw him at a local Gala some years ago he looked like a barrel on legs.

In a boxing sense I don't think it matters much. Few examples. Mike tyson. Every so called boxing fan on this site rants on like he was the best ever. Not one concern of him converting to Islam. Same with ali. Amir khan. Alot of boxing fans want to see him beat. Not because he's a Muslim but because of they way he's went about getting his fights recently Amir Khan is much more likable than Nazeem, but he gets less support, ever wondered why? Silversnake 1,099
Naseem could fight no doubt, but there were a few others like morales and especially Pacquio who would have made him look even sillier than barrera did imo. I also never think much of cocky, arrogant, loud-mouthed fighters and he was one of the cockiest ,most arrogant, loud-mouthed fighters I have ever seen.
