Day On New Permission

Have just got a new permission of about 180 acres, mixed arable/livestock but also a pick your own fruit farm. Rabbits causing mayhem with young plants, went for a bit of a mooch with my brother, 2 stinkers and the mutt. Had a few from a couple of small warrens, then a short dig for 2 in a stop end.

Then we moved up to a the top field to field a nice open warren with possible 20-30 holes, netted as much as possible, hoped for the best, dog accounted for a few unnetted holes.

So much young about, unreal, shouldn't be like this at this time of the year!

All in all a good day, dog was brilliant, just need to sort some more nets and there will be plenty of sport! Ended with eleven so we won't go hungry for a while!
