The ratty is ok for rats and ferals but not much else, you will get a lot more fun out of the theoben. Like i said before, hadnt thought about selling it till i saw your post so its not the end of the world. i'd probably miss it every now and again anyway! Good hunting! Quote Link to post

Same down here, im dead jealous of molly's pics - she seems to be having some cracking sport wherever she lives. im out and about alot and barely ever see one and never seen rat burys like they hunt. Shot a few in barns and that but would love to do more. Plenty of ferals though Quote Link to post
Malt 379
Here's mine, great fun in and around the garden and in barns & sheds. Only usefull up to about 25 yards though I'm using it to teach my 14 year old daughter how to shoot Quote Link to post
kreet 0
i her picks are crackers like , wouldnt mind a day at it like that just a few here and there that iv had my self in barns traped more stoat and weasle than iv had rats all together . mostly tree rats about me some crows and woody's but mostly the bushy tails get plenty sport from them tho so quite happy love the look of these we guns like looks a cracker maltenby. Tyla 3,179
As i've got the pic up does anyone want to swap a break barrell springer for my ratty? i just fancy a change and maybe a bit more power as most of my shooting now is rabbits and not so much ferals. i am open to sensible offers but would prefer something lightweight. Guest MOLLY
Thank you very much Tyla & Kreet. If it is any consolation i used to look at other peoples posts about ratting big numbers and think the same. Its taken me about 5yrs of getting to know people on the forums, getting permission etc to get a very lucky invite to a once in a lifetime chance at numbers as big as those. My only advice would be, be pleasant, down to earth and honest and people will notice Good luck lads. Moll. Quote Link to post

Moll. Thanks Molly, im fairly new to the forums so maybe that'll help but i have a fair amount of permission and worked as a keeper for a year long ago and a gunsmiths after that. Admittedly i dont have a lot a contacts in the sport any more but i have been wondering if its the area? i have simply not heard of rats in those numbers down South except tips, dumps etc. Maybe they are here but people keep them a secret? i've only recently got my dogs and dont know anyone else round here who uses dogs so maybe im just out of the loop? Either way i will continue to enjoy your posts and pics from afar. Keep at it! Good Hunting! Quote Link to post
