The Elusive Bunny

Recommended Posts

Got out tonight for the first time with the photon , only been using it for rats in the garden .. we had a dry night here tonight so decided to go out for a couple of hours , rabbits are very scarce around these parts , seen a few tonight but couldn't get close enough with out scaring them off due to the waterlogged fields making that squelching noise under foot , then i managed to stalk one to about 30 odd yards and down he went first shot .. the elusive bunny is now chilling in my freezer ....post-100273-0-18116800-1454185288_thumb.jpg

Simple answer then is to get out before the rabbits do and see where they are active, then get into a suitable spot and wait!

that's the trouble with me i hate just sitting and waiting , i would rather walk about and try and stalk them .. not a great deal of patience with me ...

Same as me merlin.

No patience whatsoever. I'd much prefer to squelch my way through bogs for the chance of what's around the corner.

The fields around here are sodden and it's a nightmare getting about them. Only saving grace is the wind.

Nice effort

It has been hard stalking with the ground so wet,one is worth the walk I think though and its something to cook at least, when the ground hardens up a bit and you get back on them with that nv you'll be the elusive one
