Rabbit Hunter 6,613
I like the idea of having the terriers on the treadmill but ive never struggled with dogs being unfit so why fix something that isnt broken. Ive been messing about with a flirt pole with a fox brush on for the last week or so and the dogs really love it, so much so that theyre scratching at the shed door whenever i let them out to get to it lol. downsouth 7,798
A correctly used slat mill can really take a dogs cardiovascular fitness to a level that normal exercise cannot achieve but if your thinking of using one to calm a dog down that's a bit hypo around the home you're just gunna cause yourself more problems.

neil cooney 10,416
A treadmill when used correctly is a great piece of equipment, when used incorrectly can be the worst. Some lads get them to save them walking their dogs but the truth is you have to walk a dog before putting it on a mill and walk it after it's been on the mill. A mill is for wind, nothing else and one thing a lurcher needs is wind so obviously if used correctly they'd help a dog but there's other ways too and IMO a lurcher doesn't want to be looking at a shed wall while running hard.
king 11,984
My bitch was free running for a few hrs everyday and ferreting lamping plenty every week. On the nights I didn't go out lamping she would be walking on the treadmill. Edited February 1, 2016 by king
