Second Time Lucky. ..

Recommended Posts

It was an alright day so went again today to the same warrens as last week .Took the same hob as last time and 2 jills also took the dog along to give him some experience. The first warren had plenty of fresh digging and activity but the hob still wouldn't go down.Left it a while but he still wouldn't go so took him out then collared up the albino jill and she went straight down, after 15 or so minutes came the first bolt and a rabbit with deformed teeth and one long front tooth.Nothing else bolted from this warren so we moved along the hedge to a small 3 holer and got one bolt but the net didn't close properly and the rabbit was gone. The final warren was much better, the albino jill worked well with 2 bolts in quick succession. All in all a good trip and no digs which is a bonus.

I ruined a collie as a lad by saying good lad to it everytime it marked, Lurchers can be ruined, but full collies need extra attention paid to them imo, but when they working with you, they a joy to have ferreting

Do you still have one? My collie picked up marking fast.
