Paying For Permission...??

Well lads..it's that time of year again when all I seem to do is pull money out left, right and center renewing fishing memberships..worked it out roughly i must spend 6-7 hundred pounds a year easily on fees, salmon rod licence, day tickets etc. Got me thinking about paying for airgun permission..how many of you do/would do? How much would you be willing to pay for that perfect bit of land which you know is full of it!? Would offering to pay when you go door knocking bag you more permission or is it a case of money just can't buy everything?

 

Any thoughts lads...atb.

Never payed for it but ive worked for it. I had been turned down when i first asked this farmer until i said i would put a wall gap up for him. Straight away yes i will take you around my land now so we jumped in his truck and took me round all the warrens and he showed me the wall gap he wanted put up.

 

He thought it was a big job i came back the next day and did the gap in half an hour. I dont mind doing a couple jobs but i wouldnt pay for it.

I have a load of permissions including huge stalking rights. all free and all are bloody hard work that I give a lot of my time to.

 

If I had to pay, I`d just sell up and go metal detecting.

 

Oh, and poaching with the lurchers.

Not for me either, I'm saving them cash in feed/damage and it costs me so balls to Paying them too. I do pay to rent a place for another use and get the shooting but that's as close as it gets.

Ive got a few bits of half decent land ..

 

Ive got it all gratis..

 

I would consider paying for some top land.

 

Id imagine though to pay for shooting rights it would be a bit of cash ??

 

It would have to be bouncing with gear and id want sole rights.

 

You'd turn into a mini gamekeeper though, id want trpas out and would be hacked off if folk where poaching.

 

Imagine its be more hassle than its worth..

I always think it's only saddo' that pay for permission to shoot can't do the job so they pay for it they talk the talk but can't walk the walk once farmers start charging to shoot vermin the games over
