Let's just check my tools to see if I have the right ones for such a project. Router - no. Drill press - no. Planer - no. Mitre saw - no. Hammer - Yes!

Shouldn't be a problem.

Just apply a little Midlands engineering......." We're gonna need a bigger hammer !"

Large hammer and a flat edge screwdriver and roll of tape all you ever need.

Can't see wild ducks going into a duck house ,build them a nest site instead stick a pole in two foot or so above the water and a two foot long circle of wire then put straw in it , more chance of them sticking about if there's food and shelter or somewhere to breed

Easiest thing is just a floating pallet or two, the shit can fall through and the ducks can float about safe. Make some spiral tube feeders for them, we used them a lot on the shoot and the worked well.
