forest of dean redneck 11,519
Probably a one off ,best finding a pup out of parents that do the same job you will want the lurcher to do,or one out of lurchers running the ground local to you.with the shall we say more exotic crosses there's less chance of finding working parents Quote Link to post
James Owen 1
Just wondering as hes 62 had lurchers all his life and said this was the best dog he ever had thanks all Quote Link to post

neems 2,406
Just wondering as hes 62 had lurchers all his life and said this was the best dog he ever had thanks all Going off what I'm told they've changed hugely in the last few decades, apparently they used to be very healthy and highly driven with very good nerve, they're shit now. I've seen a couple of imports that looked the part, but cost 1000's. Quote Link to post
riohog 5,701
had a dobo 30 odd years ago i didnt get many visitors to the house!!! Quote Link to post
FWBO 4
Dobes are notorious in Shutzhund because as a breed they have got problems with their recall. And I don't mean they can't remember what they had for breakfast. Quote Link to post
James Owen 1
He bought it as a pup from a lad near cumbria around 1980 he thinks he didnt carry on the line as he was living in a flat with a little garden space and only space for one dog. Thankyou all for your comments Quote Link to post
