Applying For Shotgun Licence

Mine was a public order offence 12 years ago and I've only had one speeding and caught on mobile phone since that I'd have excepted if they came back with a no to my application but to have to go to police station for interview then to court then hit with a fine in total after losing day pay 80 pound for the application its over 500 hundred pound there was a guy in court who got caught with load of weed and got 450 pound fine that's [BANNED TEXT] f****d me off if I'm honest

I thought they returned the application fee if unsuccessful ?

No disrespect to you Nugget, but why when people have a query about shotgun applications or firearms why do they ask their friends or ask on here for advice. Phone your local firearms officer ffs and if they give you a bum steer you can drop it back on their toes.

Your right I should of rang my firearms officer but surly the fee you pay they should do the check then decide on your previous conviction if you are suitable as they do the check anyway I've been told they are more lienant in England don't know if that's true but i know it was my fault but I still think it was over the top to put me through court but it's done now

I thought they returned the application fee if unsuccessful ?

ive not rang them up to find out if I have my money back I will Monday
