Gaz_1989 9,539
I'd be surprised if he went much over 24". Like crackers says the ones I've seen were 23-24". They end up too heavy for most stuff. But all the best with him ? Quote Link to post
Dame92 387
Terriermans dog, think you've bought the wrong type if your doing plenty of running, but good luck with him ?? Quote Link to post

Some very good bulls are built like whippets with big heads. My bitch was very very clever with a very good nose and very agile when bushing. She caught a rabbit first time out lamping...she gave us a lot of pleasure and some good pups. Very trainable but not wise to kennel with a mate when she matured in case an argument broke out. She was around 23" Edited January 27, 2016 by jeemes Quote Link to post

Recently saw a half x to half x and was straight lined by rabbits. And I know they ain't rabbit dogs, but all other quarry bar one runs quicker than a rabbit. Atb with pup n hope it turns out with what you want from it. Do you mean the dog didnt catch or was not able to close the gap between himself and the rabbit? The slowest half cross Ive ever seen was a lightly built collie greyhound but I wouldnt judge all collie/greys on that performance. I could only judge that particular dog. Quote Link to post
keepdiggin 9,560
what was the reason you just didnt get a full bull mate? Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
This is the dog I saw work... And this is another one which crackers owned many moons ago... Obviously the 3/4 bull is the shorter of the two... 3 Quote Link to post

I ideally wanted a half cross something stronger than my 3/4 grey 1/4 bull and couldn't find any litters anywhere for months then this one came up, the sire is 26tts and the dam was a alaunt she was about 23 tts so thought I'd take a gamble but if he turns out like the two you have posted he would be an OK size to work along side my other Lurcher 1 Quote Link to post
