This is the dog I saw work...     And this is another one which crackers owned many moons ago...   Obviously the 3/4 bull is the shorter of the two...

I got a 3-8 5/8 bullx bitch towards the bull and she's caught alot of rabbits very good turn and great nose and brain She's never gone be your 50 a night rabbit dog but she's done 26 and surprised a

great pup,but for me a 1/4 bull would be plenty for this country. i just can't see it turning that well or having the speed.hope it proves me wrong though.

Could u expect a lot from this x? Recently saw a half x to half x and was straight lined by rabbits. And I know they ain't rabbit dogs, but all other quarry bar one runs quicker than a rabbit.

Atb with pup n hope it turns out with what you want from it.

Do you mean the dog didnt catch or was not able to close the gap between himself and the rabbit? The slowest half cross Ive ever seen was a lightly built collie greyhound but I wouldnt judge all collie/greys on that performance. I could only judge that particular dog.
i mean I don't think it would catch anything unless lucky mate. Soon as the rabbit got up on its toes it pulled away dramatically lol I know they ain't rabbit dogs, but shouldn't be like that for a lurcher.

Lightly built collie grey, those collie greys are crap...I just so happen to have a light built collie grey myself lol

Im sure your colliex is fine otherwise you would retire it,but my point was you cant/shouldnt judge a dog on its supposed fractions of breeds in its makeup. The halfx type you saw was slow but that has almost no baring on any other dogs with similar breeding. Bulls vary a lot in type and so there crosses can vary a lot.
