Dx express mate, they turned up at 6.45pm and got sent packing mate.

So they turned up on the day they said to collect the parcel for next day delivery and you didn't give it to them?

exactly as automatically if the parcel is not collected by 6pm a failed to collect is started and the order is cancelled, would you want your parcel floating about with no record of it

Not when its over £500 worth of gear.

Should have made the cut off time, slow time of year for couriers so wouldn't expected them to be that busy.

Well its gone now via royal mail special delivery; peace of mind now.

I had a kayak collected (12' 4'') by a courier and the guy in Wales I sold it to had also booked the day off. It did not arrive so when I spoke to the courier, they said they had misplaced it and had no idea where it was.......................A TWELVE FOOT KAYAK for god's sake. Three days later they found it in Scotland !!!!!!!!

 

I was lucky the buyer was okay with it as he knew it was not my fault.

 

One thing with these couriers which I didn't know at the time was that if the parcel was lost or damaged, their insurance pays out to a maximum of £250 which would not cover my kayak or most of the items we would sell ie. your Pulsar Vis.

Different couriers have vastly different compensation rates Phil, just depends what it gets covered for when posting.

Think of the top of my head its £1000 max with vis's first choice ie inter parcel.

Fair enough I had missed something then. I didn't know about the 6pm cut off.
