charlie caller 3,654
No mate never actually shot one,but have you shot an lgv/lgu? I have shot a lot of tuned spring rifles, some by the best names in the business past and present, and I can honestly say I have never shot one that was (in my opinion) as good as this Walther, sure they were smooth, they were accurate, but not one had the totally vibration free feel this does, and the lock time oh my word! And to boot I have never heard a springer as quiet either, but you pays your money and takes your choice Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
All I know , my IMP is deadly quiet and the lock time is quick ,everybody who has shot it can't believe it's not a top of the range PCP I will get around very soon and try LGV just to see what all the fuss is about 1 Quote Link to post

charlie caller 3,654
The lgv mate, obviously in .177 actually in terms of lock time a tuned 99s does not feel that dissimilar, they have a quick lock time, and the moderate amount of recoil tends to go straight back rather than up Quote Link to post
Mark Walton 2
I can't comment on the imp, I've never had one but I did own the LGV competition ultra.22 it's probably the most accurate rifle I have ever owned, 40mm spinner at 76 yards off a rest mind sadly it was just to heavy for walking the fields on a very large estate. Absolutely brilliant gun though hope this helps,M 1 Quote Link to post

Nice to see someone own a Comp Ultra in twenty two too, you must of been giving some hold over on the 76 yards spinners... Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
He probably could not handle the weight, it does not bother me in the slightest, but the same goes for a 97/77/98/80 etc, but then I like a heavy rifle, fit a sling job done. 2 Quote Link to post
Mark Walton 2
I do a lot of lamping when your lamp is attached to the gun you have to carry the gun so a sling is no good and after about 4 or 5 hours the weight becomes an issue. Also fumbling in the dark to reload is a pain if you need a rapid second shot. To be honest a pop is better for lamping but for daytime shooting the lgv is world class. 1 Quote Link to post
VWman 232
So if it's all boiled down then putting cal to one side it's weight of rifle verses Imp or home brew 99 ? Quote Link to post
