I keep mine in trios in heavily planted pens that are 10ft by 10ft with covered roofs.Although I did have the golden male free range during the day for awhile last year after breeding season but he is now back in ready for this year.

Heres a few Amherst chicks from last year.

Do they hang about then? Thought they might fly off sounds very interesting I'd like some of these

Is that the top picture your referring to? I hadnt noticed that but Its looks like her beak is long but its the way its been taken and is actually the straw behind her.Its the same hen in the 3rd pic to.

Nice one and spec savers here i come eh :victory: ..
