Tyla 3,179
I've just put my jrtxwhippet over my patterdalexspringer. I'm not sure the pups, if the mating even takes, can really be called lurchers but I'm hoping for some fast and driven mooching dogs. The russellwhippet is 13 now and is probably the best dog I've owned, I've wanted to breed from him for a long time, so long in fact that I may have left it too late. I was originally thinking of a whippet bitch but circumstances ment that never happened so I took the opportunity with the bushing dog. We shall see that happens . . . . 7 Quote Link to post
forest of dean redneck 11,722
On paper the whippet blood would deem them to be a lurcher technically but at least your get some knockabout moocher/bushers like you say ,fingers crossed for you. Quote Link to post

It’s dogs like that in some weird sort of way seem to make the best ones. I know someone who’s got a young collie x Jack Russell......it’s a pet, but it’s got all the makings of a good mooching companion. Quote Link to post

Both dogs have proven to be handy for me so hopefully they may turn out to be useful. They won't be short on drive I don't think 2 Quote Link to post
