This is getting like a Summer thread, all bitching and no substance, let's get back to working the dogs and put it to sleep

Bit harsh that Neil saying I don't respect my terriers when you break threw you don't clean out ? I have to stop climb out find a suitable anchor for the dog pin the dog up then deal with the quarry all alone that particular dig was 2.5 meter try climbing out of that alone with a terrier mad to get back to the quarry a cuple of seconds to take a quick picture tells none of you anything about me to be honest leave people who have dig with me to make a proper opinion of what I do and yea I like to take a pic not for ego but because ime proud of my dog Thers nothing wrong with that imo

I'm with The General on this one.

I've always wondered about pictures taken at the end of a dig. A camera is not what I'd be asking for if I needed something handed to me.

If someone takes a photo at the end of a dig IMO to them their ego is more important than their terrier,,,,,,,,,,,,,and the quarry for that matter.

You've got one of the biggest ego's on this forum neil & you're calling out others?? Hahaha Typical THL bullshit, when you don't know fcuk all about the lad in question & making big assumptions as usual.

You won't find a lad more respectful of his terriers & it's just about the terriers for him, no lurchers, shooting & running around trying to be an expert in every fcuking sport out there!

Just a tip, peg your couples in so they just reach the dig, as soon as you need your dog coupled up all you have to do is stand up.

I spent the best years of my life digging on my own, I wish you many of the same

:hmm:There s a time and a place for taking pictures,..indeed,..as history relates, we sometimes need images to visually record the deeds of the past,...It is a truism that 'a picture is worth a thousand words',....and by the same token,.a picture borrower is a poor sort of critter

He lifted a photo of mine & put it on his fb page, afterwards he invited me onto his page and told me he had already put the photo on there and did I mind, well the picture is very personal to me and I did mind told him that and he removed it. I would be very annoyed if the picture showed up in a publication.

Trawling facebook and or this site for photos from straight up folk to put in a book or just generally pilfer is parasitic behaviour.

As a wind-up, a while later I put a photo onto his page with a copyright on it, he removed it, messaged me saying no-one else does it and he didnt want others to start doing it either.

Zilverhaze, we live and learn mush,.

& taking a photo at the very last second before lifting your terrier is something ive done, if its a terrier thats just started and you get an opportunity to have a souvenir to look back on, why not? When your smiling like a cheshire cat as your prospect has done whats in his DNA, your phone or camera is in your pocket, everything under control, hard not too....

Not having a pop mucker but pics and working terriers are the domain of ego,s and nuggets in this political climate now, anything worth remembering is best remembered in the head, its always there, anywhere else its an ego trip that may bite you on the arse.

We should all go and look at the different forums and the positive comments left for various pictures. These sites would be nothing without these images for us to see and experience what the contributors have experienced!! You would think zilverhaze had commited a crime by taking these pictures instead of sharing with us what he considered to be just another part of a passion we all share. Finally I think we all have forgotten what the original post was "someone using his photographs to make money"

The facts of life now,in this political climate is,we can take the odd pic to augment our hunting experience, then some fecking sneaky twat will twist,re-edit and use the same picture to paint something more in keeping with their fecking vendetta against us.By all means take the odd snap for your own gratification, don,t publish them on forums. The best memories of our days in the field will always be with us in memory, why do we wish for more?,ego,s mucker.

If you've broke in and the terrier and it's quarry have been made safe then there'll be either a shovel between the two or only one or the other will be seen in the photo.

If both are looking at one another then IMO it's not time for a photo shoot.

JMHO.

When the camera ,or camera phone comes out its time to use the shovel for better purpose.

Can't argue with you there "morton" we all have to be careful but honestly you have to agree the pictures "zilverhaze" posted are not really anti fodder, these are now on the cover of every new'"bluck" book for anyone to see. ATB
