jeemes 4,509
I have a sapling 13months who drinks a lot of water, but also pees a lot after. fed on stews of meat/veg very moist. the pup shows no simptoms of illness,is not lethargic and got plenty of go. It only weighs about 40lb so not a big raw boned greyhoundy type that i know can drink a lot as pups. Anyone got experience they could pass on? thanks

BGD 6,436
Has he only started drinking loads recently? If he's always done it I wouldn't worry too much, some mutts just drink more than others. I used to have a shepherd that drained the bowl as soon as you put it down didn't matter how much water you put down he'd drink the lot, ended up having to ration his water or he'd get sick. Had him at the vets for all sorts of tests and nothing was wrong with him physically he was just a daft sod!

Mickey Finn 3,016
The only thing that comes to mind is diabetes. If that's not the problem than like BDG said it's just the dogs way. My old wirehair drinks a huge bowl down every night and he's lived his whole 13 years on kibble. ATB
