And this is why lads with good stock hold it close so it dosent get prostituted and abused

If the decent blood wasn't passed on to idiots the terrier job wouldn't be in the state it's in now. I've tried to give out pups to lads I didn't know but all bar a few times I've regretted it, it's a

That's bollocks unless your in the special clique jog on you won't get a pup ! I have been gifted pups by men that haven't met me before other than a few pms and phone calls . Obviously they done t

i think its mainly luck! No one can guarantee a pup off a grafter will be same as parents- it's like saying a footballer or boxers kids will be born with there parents abilities... Nonsense! But I can see why worker to worker is an important part of a breeding plan, hopefully tip the odds of a pup succeeding in your favour.. I could be wrong, usually an haha, that's my thoughts on it though.

By the way I hope it doesn't seem like I'm ganging up on lee, I'm just giving my opinion, I've enjoyed a lot of lees post so good luck for the future

your not being hard on Lee lets face it there no such thing as a 2 hour dog either the dog has it or it don't? I understand what Lee is on about but the 2 hour dog is as good as a ten minute dog and dare I say it,it's only as good as it's last hunt

Zilverhaze is spot on... genuine working terriers when vetted to the correct folk are usually laid back quiet individuals, but when there in work mode there's that cold streak of confidence and the best take everything in there stride... the breeders of the genuine successful quiet lines are the same... genuine working terrier men with the same cold streak, but when you mess up...contact can be cut like a thread as well as access to genuine blood and access to the same men who keep the true circle turning....

No money ever passes... just the same ideology, the same ethics, and morals, the circle gels well just like the blood that gets passed free between yards....

there's pockets of these men all over the U.K. and EIRE.. and I personally know some who are struggling at the minute to get what they deserve in there kennels..why? because these pups are not just churned out... there tested fully to make sure they are still going forwards...not backwards or stagnant....and made sure they go to consistent yards that already keeps them turning...not churning!

What a load of shite. Theres a lot higher success rate in litters of working parents from generation after generation of working dogs than there is from haphazard or just average breedings. Thats a fact and there are dozens of lads out there digging to dogs every week that will say exactly that.

also on the 2 hour comment...at least the lads being honest with himself and getting out there trying... I think what he was trying to say was...from what he has been told by a few already in the game is don't ruin the young dog....let him take it all in his stride...and when the bug really bites and you start travelling... youll soon know what you have... best of luck with him and if he doesn't work hope you do the right thing...

so none of you have had dogs of this that or the other blood in them, reared them entered them correctly and they have still jacked or what ever??? If you read my post properly I'm sure I said worker to worker could tip the odds in ones favour of success...! I'm meter saying breeding isn't the only factor- I think you do have to have abit of luck on your side....

I agree with RH,you might get a decent worker from as RH says a haphazard breeding but that would be a 1 off in the litter where-as with parents from generations of well bred workers of the same line you increase your chances big time and the success rate in litters is a far higher %.
