CUPCAKE118 0
I have never sold any of my fac's and want to get a new rimfire can I just tip up at the shop and sell them my rifle and buy a new one at the same time? I have heard I can't. (Will be asking the FAO but thought this was an interesting topic) Quote Link to post
walshie 2,804
If only life was that easy. You need to send your FAC back to the firearms department after you sell your gun then ask for a new slot to acquire the new gun. Quote Link to post
paulus 26
one for one variation, free providing its the same caliber, you can sell your old one and purchase a new one, but you will not be able to take it home until your variation is sent back to you. Quote Link to post
mad4it 695
you need a one for one variation which is free as long as it is the same cailber hope it helps. Quote Link to post
toxo 160
Could he put in for another rifle and (assuming it's granted) then buy another with the RFD striking off the first? Quote Link to post
foxyfowler 5
Doesn't have to be the same calibre. I once swapped 22wmr for a moderator, on a one for one variation Andy 1 Quote Link to post
oxo 457
As stated one for one can be swapped for anything you have good reason for, did it myself a few tmes with Northumbria Quote Link to post

Arse hole ear hole sindrome thanks again one for one it is Quote Link to post
CharlieT 32
Could he put in for another rifle and (assuming it's granted) then buy another with the RFD striking off the first? Yes, it's what I always do. Saves being without one. Quote Link to post

Yes, it's what I always do. Saves being without one. I'd guess this is where regional variation crops up again, and indeed, possibly the specific individuals treatment in each region. I can do this, but I know of others who have tried and been refused until there's is sold. Its got to be worth a try/word with your region anyway! Quote Link to post
