Kids Quad Bike

My 5 year old boy has asked for a kids quad bike for his birthday in March . I've had a look online for them and most age ranges are 2-7 and electric . I'm thinking of its suitable for a 2 year old a 5-6 year old won't have much fun on it. I'm also worried electric will be crap on grass . Does any of the parents on here have any experience with them . I want something with enough pep for him to whizz around but not to much so he wrecks himself .

if you get a little 50cc quad you can put a restrictor on it to slow it down to whatever speed you want and them take it off when he gets a bit older. There not bery fast to begin with. You could have some fun on them yourself there easy to do wheelys and donuts on. The electric ones are ok for so long but the batterys dont last long my cousins lal lad would take off up the road on his and get about a 1/4 mile and it would run out so he would have to push it back lol.

Suzuki LT50 mate.

Do not buy one of the cheap imports. They drop to bits. A mate of mine bought a load of them from China and all I ever had to do was weld the frames on them as they were constantly cracking.

Saluki LT 50cc r ok for kids to zip up and down on but if it was me I would get a quadzilla 100cc good quads them and am sure you can put a restricter on them pull you and your lad around all day them

They look class but the price puts me off them at the minute . Want to see how he goes on a cheaper one first

Stay clear from chinese imports(fire hazzards) and stick with the suzuk LT. i wouldnt dream of puttin my kid on a chinese death trap ever again .bit of saftey worth payin few extra £s. Just my opinion from experience with both

You can get the power turned down on small screw on back of throttle to walking pace. I got the 7occ for my 5,/6 yrd old.after s few hrs he's wound out the screw so that's that full power all the time.he rided my 75occ now the little bugger

I have been in the motorcycle trade for 13 years i would 100% get a Suzuki LT50, worth the money. Very well made, you can get actually get spares for them unlike cheap chinese crap and when you do sell it you will get most of your`e money back.

I'd say LT50 they hold they money well so you will more than likely get out of it what you put in mate great little quads

I got my boy a Chinese quad new.itd bedn fine alongs as you check it over after riding and tighten up bits here n there. Very reliable. I researcherd the better ones mind

Lt50 is the right way to go, keep away from the copy stuff, it's worth paying the extra for a good lt, it will be a saving in the long run

I bought the wee man a new Chinese one too. You can see it's cheap made but it's in no way dangerous. For going back and forward in a park/beach they are fine. Once they get used to them and push them a bit harder then things do tend to slack up and bend.

 

If you can afford it the LT50 is a great wee quad. As said you won't loose your money either when you go to sell.
