DiStuRBeD 0
its unfortunate that people breed for money but it happens and quite often poeple lie about there dogs Yes possibly, but in my experience stags here in WA are usually sold or given away, if sold they are under $150... now tell me how someone makes money from a litter of pups for 150 each when you consider worming, vet bills, feed, your time etc etc have seen ppl advertise unproven dogs, that when queried about didnt even sound like stags for more then that but... but by and large most dogs are pretty cheap, and considering x bred muts are sold for hundreds more in the paper and pet shops also WA is a small community of hunters, most ppl knw someone you know, as HB says a lot are spoken for before they are even born More than welcome Tomo, I had a run out with Aaron a few weeks back, we could make a weekend of it!! With all these useless stags!! Aaron may be taking one of my pups so we should have an 'army of darkness' to run with.I dont know about teaching us how to drink though.... and no moaning allowed LOL yeah i took TOMO out for a run when he came over here to perth last time, hes always welcome to come out, tried to talk him in to moving over here haha. Definatley getting one of your pups mate, dont worry about that!!!! Quote Link to post
allgame 0
vic most dogs are sold 250 to 300 lucky to get one cheaper also only poeple who plan on keeping one of the dogs put time in to them possibly they'll worm them doubt they'll be any vet bills and feeds next to nothing relly its easy to make money out of dogs a big litter of say 10 pups each sold for $250 equals $2500 you can obviously see the profit in it Quote Link to post
DiStuRBeD 0
ok i'll work it out from what ive done with pups in the past $150 per pup worming $10 a pup vet check $$4 a pup hour a day tending to all pups @ $25 a hour x 7days x 8weeks = $1400 feed(decent advance puppy) $600 for raising to 8 weeks old vaccination $40 a pup advertising $30 a week for 4 weeks = $120 starts to add up doesnt it, if you do it proper a bit over $2000.... say you have 10 pups @ 150 that is 1500 bucks, so you end up out of pocket sure you can do it dodgy, feed them shit, dont worm them, dont get them vet checked or vacc'd but if you do it right like above how can yo make money from it? ppl that cut corners you notice when they got a guts full of worms, or are malnourished etc etc they are the type of ppl you dont associate with. Like i said its a small world here in WA atleast, word travels Quote Link to post
