Rabbit Hunter 6,613
Thinking of getting some gaiters, with all the rain we've had lately my boots and the bottom of my trousers seem constantly sodden wet and its doing my head in. Can anyone recommend some good ones? Quote Link to post

terryd 8,385
wellies lol. I have never understood why people wear boots to walk around muddy wet fields. I guess maybe they offer a bit more support but I have all ways preferred wellies Quote Link to post
Rabbit Hunter 6,613
I only go out with the terriers Terry. And digging in wellies is no fun!lol 2 Quote Link to post

Fat-Ferret 857
I would like gaiters that didnt have a zip as the zips on mine clog up and stick all the time, nuisance to get on and off Quote Link to post
collieman 45
The ex army gaiters have a zip at the back but do not unzip completely if that makes sense the down side is you have to take your boots off first to get the gaiters off . 1 Quote Link to post

stuartpengs 19
I've gone through quite a number of Gore-Tex gaiters, they can tear quite easily is thick brush. Best buy I've made as far as gaiters are concerned are a pair of olive Fjallraven Sarek gaiters (they're available in black too). They do need waxing occasionally (Greenland Wax), but they're tremendously hard-wearing and waterproof providing you look after them and wax them occasionally. It's quite therapeutic! I've found, with gaiters, you buy cheap and you'll be buying again soon after. http://www.fjallraven.co.uk/sarek-gaiters Edited February 13, 2016 by stuartpengs Quote Link to post
