Sirius 1,391
The title Sounds like a lyric from some gangsta rap record lol apologies. Right I have a dog here many members will recognise as I have posted a fair bit over the last decade of his progress. He's knocking on 10 years now. I bred the dog to a bitch 4 or 5 years ago, with the hope of having a few pups knocking around from his bloodline. However my good friend had a bitch from the litter and the bitch died last year (tetanus) I believed she was the best from the litter, so that was that. Anyhow the long and short of this post is, I will make the dog available to stud ( to the right person) as I would like to see a few of his pups knocking about, with the hope of using one down the line. I have turned down a fair few enquirers to use him previously as I hate breeding for breeding sake or for cash, but simply if I found the right bitch I would be keen. Don't ask his breeding on hear it's far from straight forward but I can trace all dogs pretty much (or other members will know) he's from gens of Lurcher x Lurcher on his mothers side and a collie grey on his sires side. Some very good dogs on his months side with a few big names etc ( which mean buggier all) but they all worked. He's done the lot for me, single handed, lamps off the slip, jumps like a salmon, ferrets exceptionally well, retrieves well, and is not scared to get stuck in. Rough coated blue merle, 24" and solid. Anyhow if anyone's looking get in contact or send me a pm. Regards Sirius Edited January 17, 2016 by Sirius 4 Quote Link to post

tinytiger 840
coursing greyhounds are really cheap/free this time of year Quote Link to post
morton 5,368
coursing greyhounds are really cheap/free this time of year There is possibly a reason for that?,its easy enough to breed a coursing dog in 1 generation, its far more difficult to breed an honest lurcher the same way. 4 Quote Link to post
tinytiger 840
Because the 128 dogs ggoing to clonmel have been decided by now. ..I would imagine anything still breathing at this stage would be fairly fast - just maybe a length or 2 short of trial stake winning pace..128 dogs out of 450 odd litters. ..any track dog given away probably wasn't following it...just a thought as I don't know how much hound is in the dog Quote Link to post

Sirius 1,391
I think the ideal would be to find a dog from the same lines. But he is last of the Mohicans. I would not want to use a pure grey to this dog, a good Lurcher type even a saluki x grey would be a better option than a grey IMO . Edited January 18, 2016 by Sirius 1 Quote Link to post
