gnipper 6,472
I remember years ago seeing a kennel made from pvc window frames with the board stuff off doors in it instead of glass that looked ok. You can put vents etc in too. I tried barrels and ended up with loads of condensation so I put a ply floor and front on and drilled a load of drain holes in the bottom.

Giro 2,648
I spent a bit on mine after moving house.. I got a brickie to build some nice pens.. Galvanised pen doors & used them bitumen sheets for roofing. Prior to that ive had few decent wooden set ups..

Bosun11 537
Thing is, i aint got that option. I live not far from the coast, as flat as a billard table and very exposed. A good kennel box is all they are going to have, so its gotta be decent.

PeskyWabbits 464
If you are not proud,, you can use an IBC with the top cut off. I couldn't find an exact picture but you get the idea. https://quartzridgeranch.files.wordpress.com/2012/12/20-img_2179.jpg You can pick one up for about £30. Worth paying a bit more for a clean one though.

Only thing I find with something like that is where it's so tall is the dogs body heat won't warm it up enough.
