Any one own or work this cross I'd be interested to find out how you found this cross or if you've had this cross in the past pre ban or ban in place

This should be a handy x mate ive never seen one work but ive owned a half x beddy grey a lad came to use him on a collie whippet greyhound bitch she had 10 pups, i lost contact with the lad not long after so dont know how they turned out.

I'd imagine they would be decent lamp dogs and have the nose for ferreting and putting a shift in with the bushing dogs aswell mate

Could be decent,Or may not be any good...with crosses like this they can throw all ways ,who knows ?

If both parents can put a shift in over a number of seasons doin what you want them to do theres no reason why the pups wouldnt perform the same other than bad schooling/entering same with any mix breed youl get differences/throw backs but id be supprised if at worst case they couldnt catch a rabbit

One of the best dogs I ever seen on was this cross. Was only 22tts called peg she could take it all. Awsome to watch up the dales on the rabbits daytime . . . very switched on, could find and kill a fox too.

The lad who bred the litter out of my old dog sent me a few pictures at 6/7 weeks old some had rough and broken coats some were smooth and a couple looked really whippety, one was pure blue, like i said earlier no idea how they turned out though. I'd bring one on if i had the chance and room lol

I have found that adding terrier/lurcher to a collie lurcher almost always makes them a far easier animal to work and live with. Better? well its down to the individual dog, and its owner

I run a beddy grey x collie grey, was bred with these attributes in mind, beddy for the nose, and collie for the intelligence, was easier to train than the beddy whippet i owned. Shes 8 years old now and has been a cracking dog 23tts. good on the lamp, but comes into her own when mooching or ferreting, if she marks you can bet your life shes got it right. Certainly a cross i would reccomend, you very rarely see one for sale though.YIS KIC.

my fawn dog is bred this way mate with a touch of bull in there i know what he can do i dont think whippet adds much other than downing the size

Cheers for the replays lads I'm hoping to have some pups of this breeding if the bitch as took well similar any way I've never bred dogs before in my life so its a bit of a adventure im really looking forward to it I think I've bred for all the right reasons

 

Dam is a 5yr old line bred bitch shes 26tts 1/16deerhound 1/16collie the rest being whippet/greyhound

 

Sire is a 9yr old he's 22tts an is a genuine half x bedlington/greyhound
