Pro's And Cons Of Leaving The Eu

Recommended Posts

So with the in or out the EU thread running I thought it would be a good idea to run this topic of the back of it.. So what do you see as the negatives and positives of leaving the EU. There's the obvious like controlled immigration ect but I think it would be interesting to hear peoples options on other things like effect on trade and movement for instance. Being a humble cabinet maker and not a market analysis I can't claim to have my head around it all.

It is all hypothetical any way, as we are not leaving the EU. Too many fingers in too many pies for that to happen. This is what I think will happen. We will have a referendum, but prior to the refere

Basically we can be just like the numerous other countries who are not part of the EU and seem to get along and do ok

Before he moved to a different part of the country one of my regular customers was a very well-known retired government figure. I'll not get political and mention names or parties but he was famous- or infamous- for his "what you see is what you get"attitude and straight-talking.

I came to know him because his house was also plagued with mice on a regular basis but that's by the by. Though once ,indicating my tub of rodent bait he wryly commented,"We could do with some of that in Whitehall."

He said that the joining the EU was a tremendous mistake that meant efficient government by any political party was impossible due to Britain not being allowed to tailor its Laws and policies to its own needs and the horrendous cost to the treasury . I can't remember the figure he quoted but the daily financial drain was staggering.

It doesn't matter if we're in Europe or not all Eastern European countries said that they would not take any refugees because their countries didn't have a Muslim background and any Muslims would change the country and they would not integrate. All Eastern Europe more than happy to accept eu money so why didn't the original members say our ball you play by our rules. Also if we got out I think those cheese eating surrender monkeys would build a bigger camp for the economic migrants and even help them onto the trucks. Plus do we send 5million poles back if so there might be a lot of English being repatriated from France Spain Portugal etc. what we need is a leader with balls

it`s time to get out, we voted to enter a common trading market, not a EU superstate, loads bleat on and on about how much money we get from them every year but that's a drop in the ocean compared to how much we put in, as for trade, no company here or over there is going to refuse business

the only leader we`ve ever had who had balls when dealing with the EU strangely enough, didn't have any

I wonder what would happen to all the pensioner ex-pats in the Med if we leave the EU :hmm:

Nothing. If they can pay their way they would be able to stop, if not and our Goverment can't come to an agreement to pay their pensions out there then tough titties!
