David Haye V Mark De Mori.

Why are people saying that the person Haye beat was a nobody?

We may not have heard of him but he was ranked 10th in the world by the WBA, who are a more respected body than the WBU!

Pure bum look at his record he lost against an even worse bum something like 16 wins 30 losses

Crusty needs to do some homework first me thinks.

What do you mean by that tuffty mark de mori crumbled David Haye knew held crumble that's why he picked him you need to do some re search

When you can't even get a fighters loss rate right I think your research is none to clever either! de Mori was pretty highly ranked in the WBA, I think he froze after the first right hander from Hayes rattled his skull!
No I gave a rough estimate that's why I said something like

Ratings mean nothing Anthony Joshua is rated something like third and he hasn't achieved anything

Here you don't do bloody driveways do you?

2 is nothing like sodding 30!

He lost to this guy

What a bizarre nation of sports fans we are.....David Haye is not a legitimate heavyweight in todays times yet is desperately trying to compete with far bigger men than himself in order to win the gre

Was it me or was that presenter a c**t

De Mori had a better record than Szpilka who Wilder just fought for the WBC belt,De Mori is better than anyone Wilder has faced as Champion with the only decent fighter on Wilders record being Stivern

I was talking about De Moris Record, that loss to Wyborn was over a decade ago! Hardly a current indication of his form!

Suppose your right then anyway like I said before David Haye love or Hate got to say fair play

Problem is Haye is damned if he does damned if he dont,

He's the best boxer in that division, but like said struggles against the sheer size of others,

He's goyt to come back and fight blokes who shouldn't be in the ring with him, but what choice has he, he needs a few fights to get going and I don't see Wilder, Fury or Aj falling over themselves to fight him yet, the momentum will grow, hopefully he'll get Wilder first and pick up a belt then some big British fight to unify the heavywheight belts... thats got to be great for British boxing.

Joshua has done very well but I want to see him taking shots,

Taking shots is something fans feel a need to see trainers dont want to see their fighters take shots,ever.....Mick if upon taking shots you dont like what you see do you think it will stop him winning a world title ?......i remember watching Fury get levelled by a much smaller guy it didnt stop him using the assets he does have to win a world title.......power punchers like Joshua or Tyson in his day do not set out to have long fights they are putting all their eggs in one basket to get their opponent out, hence why much of heavyweight boxing is about who lands first.

Gnash I also said going rounds and having to tough it out when things are not going his way as well as taking shots. Like you just said we have seen Fury down a couple of times but he's got straight back up then stopped the opposing fighter. Remember when Bruno was thought to be the next big British fighter at 21-0 with 21 knockouts, then Bonecrusher came along and took Bruno further than he had ever been before, taking all his shots, then stopped him in the tenth that's the type of scenario I am thinking of. We have seen Fury down and up against it and he prevailed and we also know he can do 12 rounds all I'm saying is we don't know that about Joshua yet as he hasn't done 12 rounds and he has had it all his own way so far in his career.

Why would they be falling over to fight him what's he got to bring not like he's a champ holding belts

Thing is the proper belts which are the wbc,wba and the ibf are not held by tyson.

He holds the wba super and the wbo.

Which in affect are Micheal mouse.

The other three officially recognised belts are held by three different champions.

Funny that ain't it

My point exactly, he has no choice but to fight "bums" as you put it ( even a bum with a very good record) , because he brings nothing to the table (yet) to the champions, and talked about fighters so they don't have to take a risk in fighting him.

But they know as well as we all know that Haye is a world class fighter, he has the best technique IMO and is a good finisher, like you say why would they want to fight him :whistling::D

I think that extra bit of weight might do him some good, the fight on Saturday doesn't prove any more than we already know, he can bang. Maybe Di Mori froze, maybe the occasion got to blah blah... Haye could do no more than he done, knock him out onto the next and get a shot at a big fight...

Personally I'm looking forward to some of these big all British fights as I'm sure they'll come at some point, it's been a long time when an all British Heavyweight fight could mean unifying the title (I'm no boxing historian and I don't think I'm old enough but I can't remember it :hmm:)....

I hope Fury beats Klitchko in the rematch, and the other 2 titles come over here 1 way or another (AJ, Haye, maybe even Whyte :hmm: ), then there is some big pay days for the British fighters, when all the worlds eyes are on our fighters... seems all good to me.

Maybe not the best heavyweight era, but it's got a bit of interest around it again at least.

It does'nt matter what wilder offered hughie, of he was that confident of taking his title he'd of took the fight and reaped the rewards afterwards

100% correct. Im sure if i was up and coming and thought I was the best then id fight wherever they wanted for whatever money they wanted. Can start worrying about t+c's when your at the top, I certainly wouldnt let it get in the way of making it to the top.

no one at the top will want to fight haye. he is going to have to fight a few of these "bums" you lot refer to and make himself mandatory.

I think best chance he has other than that is taking whyte on and doing him in 1-3. That would make a statement which could force the fight with AJ.

He did what he needed to on saturday and did it well. I am a massive AJ fan but before whyte who had he fought??? and everyone is singing his praises. I think Haye deserves credit for coming back and doing that now we will just have to see who has the confidence in themselves to fight him.

I dont think Haye is in it for the money, he got £16,000 for his boxing ring from his gym on ebay last year...surely he hasnt spent all that yet?! haha.

I think it is current, he got knocked out in the first round by boxer with 3 and a half years ring rust.

I think all these top rated fighters should be fighting for belts haye povetkin in time joshua should be fightin for belts. whats the point in haye vs joshua? There both good enough to fight for world titles why fight each other and one fall down the rankings and leave fury and wilder to fight who? Its the champs ( wilder at this point) who needs to step it up and fight opponents people want to see them fight I wanna see haye v fury , haye v wilder, wilder v fury, fury v povetkin etc
