ftm 3,357 Posted January 13, 2016 Report Share Posted January 13, 2016 cloud cover was perfect last night so mk2 rapid over shoulder dogs by my side and off I went -I spotted a single crow on outside of a sycamore and rifle out of bag /dogs told to sit and crosshairs placed on heart/lung shot and it folded stone dead -pup ran in with excitement and retrieved it to hand [bit more work on him I reckon as it could have been alive and pecked him ] -one in the bag! ten minutes later I sneaked into a copse that always holds bandits and it wasn't long before they were cackling away at my presence .dogs sitting and I picked a bandit out and it dropped 25 yds away and pup sat solid! lol I sentolder dog out and he had it in my hand in seconds. I decided to sit an wait for returning bandits and it wasn't long before I dropped another that fell in swamp -pup sent out and another in the bag managed another 2 and headed home -spotted another crow and perfect shot dropped at my feet with a thump! -could have bagged a bag ful of woodies but I let them be -ps I only used 11 pellets so it was a canny mission 6 Quote Link to post
