Had a walk out earlier today with my pup Mario,Ruby the Pom & my coursing bred dog Boots who was having his 1st leg stretch of 2016 as he's been in the sick bay after his exploits on New Year's Eve where my mate's dog who was also present on that day is still almost a fortnight on still battered & bruised along with having some serious rib damage to him..hopefully he too will be back and up & at em real soon ? ..anyhow back to today,set off before light and on arrival it was -4c we walked a long way without seeing a darn thing,dogs hunted hard for no reward and the pup all the while pestering the Pom lol..as we climbed the mountain we reached the snow covered ground which was now frozen & was like walking on ice cubes which wasn't exactly what i intended,within a minute the mist/fog rolled in and visibilty was no more than 20 yards at best so i decided to head back down to the lower levels but it took an age as i couldn't see where i was going haha..as i got half way down the bloody snow arrived and it was real heavy so pics etc were limited..Boots was back on the scorecard which pleased me as he couldn't/wouldn't walk just a few days ago..Pom worked her little legs off & the pup hasn't moved off the sofa since i got home @ 2pm not even for his dinner!! Was good to be back out,not the greatest end to the year or the best start to the New Year but we fight to go to war on another day ?

Thanks Paul..it was good just to be back out there up on them there fells,when i was almost back at the motor i took that pic of Boots with the trees and the snow,i stood for ten mins just taking it all in lol getting soaked all the while but being out there really does take some beating ?

Yeh there's definitely a similarity mate. I think it's that black mask.

 

Mario is gonna be longer in the back and a bit "racier" I reckon. He's a belter.

That's a smashing looking dog that Gaz,plenty of substance about it..much heavier & stronger all round but they have similar markings..mine is a proper snake head..never seen a dog with such a small head lol..
