i was at Elton on the A! one morning and the river had burst its banks and flooded the rabbits out,we saw rabbits actually sitting in the hedgerow above the water, further up the field where there was no standing water but the holes were still flooded a rabbit ran into a hole and drowned itself right in front of us .Another time i was there i broke a rabbits neck and it ran for fifty yards before keeling over, there was alot of rabbits there and the other side of the a1 on the east of england show ground, i would think its a bit hot around those spots nowdays

THERE ARE SOME CRACKING PLACES IN THAT AREA , THERE USED TO BE A CREW OF 5 BLOKES WHO WORKED THE GROUND IN THEM PARTS I WENT OUT WITH THEM ONE FEBUARY IT WAS JUST OUTSIDE KETTERING ON THE THRAPSTON ROAD THE FARMERS NAME WAS THOMASS AND HE BRED SHIRE HOSSES,WE DONE THE DRIVE WAY TO THE FARM USING LOOSE JILLS AND LINERS AND KNOCKED OVER 90 ODD RABBITS I THOUGHT THIS WAS GOOD UNTILL ONE OF THE CREW TOLD ME THAT JUST BEFORE MIXI THEY HAD DONE THE SAME DRIVE AND GRASSED OVER 300 NOT BAD BAGS IN THE DAYS BEFORE LOCATORS

Jim totally agree with you , I go out not for numbers but most of the time end up with them, but you always have a run when everything is so much harder to catch, and it's then when you know you've got a good dog when he gives that little bit more to keep it real, some times 20 don't sound as good as 3 hard worked for if you know what I mean atb mark

i know the keeper there thay are out shooting them, and my mate does the ferreting on there
