The dogs you got through parvo and distemper had they been vaccinated fireman.

And we'll done for getting the dogs through it mate,

No mate the distemper one was back in the late 80's and the lurcher i thought was jabbed but hadn't been, just did the keeping it hydrated bit with electrolites and every other drink i put down her neck at regular intervals during the day and night had honey and garlic in it.I never have a lean dog either, fit but not lean and i swear that tad extra she had about her kept her in this world as with parvo it's dehydration and the quick loss of weight that causes the organ breakdown that usualy kills a dog,the vet said i should just pts and save her the hassle of a shit death. This dog has done everything i ever wanted her for and a bit more since then and has no issues from the parvo in any way..

So if a greyhound trainer told her that feeding your dog carrot tops will make it go around a second faster would she put that in a book ... And would you believe it ... The greyhound trainer could be a complete idiot as far as we know who by the sounds of it was talking out of his Arse ... If there is no concrete evidence then it's not for me .........

Yes he could be a complete idiot socks and yes he could be talking out of his arse.

But let's try and imagine for once what if the trainer was a very well respected trainer in the greyhound world.

And was talking the truth.

Like I said I don't know her or the dog trainer but not everything written in books is bullshit.there could be some truth in what she says.and yes she may be full of shit and lies.

Who knows.

He was a top trainer he would be happy to be named about his revelation lol ... Just think about it logically how can a jab against a diseas as a puppy possibly slow down your dog as an adult ??? All my greyhounds were jabbed and they held a few track records and won some top open races so the Jabs certainly didn't slow them down .......

Right think about this logically socks what you are saying.you can't say the jabs never slowed your dogs down.because you never ran your dogs without being jabbed.

If they ran any faster they would have scorched the track .....

These books were like the dog bible twenty odd years ago, I got a dog through distemper using honey water and garlic and following her advice , but still pts in end as it kept fitting afterwards, its brain had been affected.

Shame that and it's a right old do if you stick to her word as it's all about temp and non feeding until the temp is stable etc,i will admit to my old dog looking a state :icon_redface: and someone did call the rspca and they turned up with a few coppers as i was living on a hippy site at the time in Suffolk. The local vet came with them and have to say he had a cup of tea with us and listened to what was happening with the dog,had a quick scan of the book and told the rspca that the longest he'd kept a dog alive with distemper was 2 weeks,my dog had had it for a month and i was doing a better job then he ever did :D ,he even got us in contact with a herbal vet in scotland who'd send us free of charge all the herbs and honey we needed. My dog was free of problems afterwards but i have seen a unbalanced dog due to having distemper and i mean unbalanced as it kept falling over like it was drunk,it to was pts in the end..

I met her once and I know a lot about her, some great advice but also take it with a pinch of salt

Was that when she was in the New FOrest Sirius?

A year or two before she died, she was living overseas I believe at the time.

I wonder if my polio injection slowed me down or one me other jabs. Can't work it out I swear i should be faster. Is that why all the Africans are so fast. Not jabbing seems to work well for them guys

I knew a lad years ago who had'nt had the TB jab, he reckoned it was something they gave us to make us die younger, he'd never had the flu, common cold or any illness in his life
