Lutra Lutra 611
Who would buy or want to read, or have in their possession a book with such a ridiculous title like (Digging The Dirt)? Since coming on this particular site I haven't heard any good words about the guy called Johnny Bluck. So now my correct suspicions have been confirmed by so many members on site. However, I ask myself he does somewhat cause quite a stir! Plummer loved raising hackles but of course love him or loathe him, he was in a different league of so-called todays Authors to whom many only produce tacky picture books! 2 Quote Link to post

Mosby 355
Being in the midst of putting together some books of my own, I can say its not easy to produce good work. It's hours of tedium. Do you have some books you have written fox bolter? I'm not Coming to anyone's defense. Whether a book is good or not is a matter of someone's opinion. But somebody saying something is easy when they haven't done it makes me laugh. Who knows, maybe you e written a few. I don't know. 1 Quote Link to post
foxbolter 447
Books are not for me I like to see things with my own eyes I don't plan on writing any soon. My point is if you have done it you wouldn't have to think too hard of what your going to write like for instance off the cuff your first book would be mosby greatest digging days now if you haven't dug a lot it would be hard wouldn't it 2 Quote Link to post
dillydog 8,463
I can't remember what I did yesterday let alone what I had and did thirty years ago, I'd have to have it dragged out of me kicking and screaming line by line. We all enjoy a good read, it matters not what it's called or who wrote it, it would be nice for it to at least contain some truth though. 3 Quote Link to post
Cargol 302
Iv read a fair few terrier books, mostly borrowed as I'm a bugger. And enjoyed most of them. But I read them because they were books on working terriers. Not for who wrote them. To fill a book takes some doing I would say. So most these tales from yesteryear are probably tweaked a little to make better reading. And to fill a few pages. But who cares if the bloke that wrote it is a twat. He can spin a good yarn and is making a few quid doing it. Fair play. 1 Quote Link to post
