Bryan 1,362
She'd have been only 1/16 EBT just shows strongly in the head shape on some more than others. Tess was her name, she was never bred off so wouldn't be showing up in any pedigrees. Dead 10 years+ Quote Link to post

Rebel 833
The bull and terrier cross was a fairly popular cross in my area when I was a young lad. They used to call them bull n fox and they were smart looking dogs. I never saw any work, but, if i remember right? lads used to say they were either too hard or wouldn't travel. Quote Link to post

Those old boys must be awful stupid to have stuck with their lines since the 60's when it's too hard and they won't travel? Of course back in the day I suppose a lot of those old boys didn't even have broadband or WiFi and didn't have the high standards of THL 3 Quote Link to post

fat man 4,741
I used to dig a good bit with a club from NI and a lot of the white bodied terriers they kept were all ebxrussell types. The man that seemed to be over the club said it was the best type of bull to add to terrier for digging.I also seen a couple that could do the job and were bred by an old friend of mine about 20 miles from me,they were straight halfx and he had both the EB bitch plus a very good russell dog named Badger. The lads from NI had access to very game staffs that they owned thenselves but never xd the staff into there digging dogs. When i was growing up and starting to take an interest in the terrier game there was nothing about me only bullxrussells [staff] and another line of terrier that an old lad kept to himself. From what i seen of the ebx they were well capable of doing a job and no locater back then. 1 Quote Link to post
forest of dean redneck 11,560
And if they're that rubbish then why have the been used in creating new breeds of tough dog like that dogo , cordoba, bully kuta, gull terr etc and I'm sure a few othersI thought I read somewhere that they used it in the dogo as they was less dog aggressive so would pack better? I had a tan ebt x years ago, busher and yard dog.very protective of me and eldest stepson, out in the woods the boy and dog ran down the path and the dog had come back to see where were to and a family came out of side path between us. Bloody dog went mental and i had to run and grab hold of her. She took disliking to the rotty as well so she had to be rehomed , Always liked ebt x staff ,may have another when kids have left home. rob284 1,682
What sort of ebt was used? Miniture or full size? Do many make a decent size as i would imagine most turn out too big. Quote Link to post
