My wife was walking our old greyhound on a lead.

A cat for some reason walked over to greet them and the greyhound picked it up shook it a few times and that was the end of the cat. the incident was watched by several neighbours who came out to see what all the noise was about. cat and wife screaming.

I was at home at the time and the wife came home hysterical thinking she was going to be sent to jail and that the dog would be put down. I phoned the police, and they did know about the incident. He did say they would not pursue the matter because the dog was on a lead, he also added that as long as the dog is not deliberately set upon the cat their is nothing that they can do even if the dog is off the lead.
