beast 1,884 Posted January 3, 2016 Author Report Share Posted January 3, 2016 thanks everyone. so having now researched the information you have provided, here is my plan insulated fireboard surface beneath stove and on wall directly behind it twein wall insulated flue where it passes through the roof dektite/ flashing kit to seal round chimney on top of roof does this sound about right? how high do i need to have the top of the chimney above the roof just in case of sparks? should i fit a spark trap? cheers Quote Link to post Share on other sites
moxy 617 Posted January 3, 2016 Report Share Posted January 3, 2016 You should only need about 18" but it will depend on how sheltered your shed is for the smoke clearing. If you have little or no air flow or protected in by a high hedge for example, the exhausting smoke can be pushed back down (outside) and recirculated back into your shed. Then you will need a higher flue The rest sounds about right. You can pick up stainless lagged twin wall from the scrapyard. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
