Sadly for genuine folk its becoming all to common on fcukbook this kind of shite and the media jump all it with alot of made up crap to sell the story but it damages all the work that the fieldsports community does and I have seen a few turn up pissed and maybe stoned but I just don't have it so leave can't be arsed with someone like that in the field

Obviously there are sections of the media which are anti hunting. Wherever they are given the opportunity, they will seek to run down hunting and align all who partake in hunting with dogs with the likes of the idiocy shown by these morons.

 

Unfortunately what the ignorant and all believing public will take from this article is that lurcher owners are all drug dealing, jeep stealing, armed to the teeth blood thirsty barbarians, devoid of any sporting ethic or integrity. There is at least a statement I assume by the 'Wild Deer Association'?..., "It’s sick on every level. There are 4,500 real hunters in Ireland that would be disgusted by this kind of animal cruelty". Not sure we'd even have seen that level of 'balance' in he UK media.

 

Personally I don't do the social media thing but think it's important that where this kind of thing is reported or appears on Facebook, that genuine dogmen take the opportunity to comment and distance themselves from this sort of behaviour and ensure the public know that this sort of thing is carried out by a small and undesirable minority ( even if this happened months ago it stays on the internet forever so maybe still worth making your voice heard).

Sometimes hunting folk are their worst enemies, on here, facebook, in the field and dragging old stuff up like this, none of it does any of us any good, perhaps some folk should read the dates on stuff before it goes up on here, happened more than once on here

In this case 4 men in there early 20's were released without charge and a fifth 27 year old was charged with possession of cocaine.
